We’re working on a new project and have been trying to keep the details a secret so it would be a gigantic surprise when we opened. However! we’ve come to a part in the process where we need a little bit of help from you. On March 2nd, we’ll be going before the City of Cambridge License Commission to apply for what’s called a Common Victualler’s License (so we can serve food) and an All Alcohol Liquor License (so we can serve alcohol). The Licensing Board needs to hear our plan and determine if those licenses should be granted.

One factor they consider in granting these licenses is public support. That’s where you come in! There are a few ways you can support us, especially if you’re a resident of Cambridge. The different themes we’d like to hit on are our efforts to be a welcoming and supportive member of the Union Square community, how good of an option we may be before or after a movie at Kendall Cinema, and any experience you might have working with me in the past, especially in regards to safe and responsible alcohol sales.

  1. Write a letter of support to the City of Cambridge License Commission. Tell them what you like about Gracie’s and why you think we’d be a good addition to the neighborhood. If you want, we’ve prepared a letter [LINKED HERE] you can fill out and send in.You can mail it to: City of Cambridge License Commission 831 Massachusetts Avenue Cambridge MA 02139

  2. Email your letter of support to the License Commission to Elizabeth Lint (elint@cambridgema.gov) with the subject line Goodnight Banana LLC d/b/a Gracie’s - March 2nd.

  3. Come in to Gracie’s and fill out a letter. We’ll have some printed letters ready to go and we’ll mail it for you!

  4. Show up to our hearing on March 2nd at 3pm to 831 Massachusetts Ave - Carmelia M Vicente Conference Room Cambridge MA 02139

With your help, we’ll hopefully have more news to share in a few weeks!
